She knew it was never going to be easy. After watching her sister struggle through three years at the University of Michigan, Kelsey felt like she was up for the challenge. Being accepted into the College of Engineering, Kelsey prided herself upon the accomplishment. But that accomplishment was accompanied with doubt from her friends, teachers, and community members.

The taunts and jokes about the difficulty of engineering, especially at such an elite institution, were growing old. But Kelsey didn't understand the capacity of the academics until arriving on campus. The Kent City High School Valedictorian was lost in a sea of other students who had graced their schools' Top Tens.

 

It was never going to be easy, but Kelsey persevered. From day one, she struggled, but with the help of CSP advisors, teachers, and all too many phones calls home, Kelsey is about to finish her freshman year.
